The Major General's Review 2011: The Field Officer of the Sovereign’s Escort of the Household Cavalry, Major Nicolas Van Cutsem, The Life Guards. It would be a particular honour for him as a Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan veteran to lead the Sovereign’s Escort after that other notable event on 29 April when he executed the same prestigious task as Field Officer as he was trotting at the right side of the 1902 State Landau in which his good friend Prince William and Catherine Middleton drove on their wedding day.
